Tekstas iš drumandbass.lt archyvo (2007 m.), atkurtas iš interneto archyvo — originali kopija.

Zip FM radio laidos "Amenų Broliai" vedantysis Cr-Edit kalbina Khun Victor Paul iš 45 Thieves komandos, kuri neišsižada ir niekada neišsižadės jungle muzikos. Interviu originalo kalboje. Kalba netaisyta.

Big ups! Its very kind that you are interested in answering some questions.

The honor is mine.

There is no much information in web about you and as I know 45 Thieves is Trio, can you write some information about each member?

45 Thieves is composed of three artists with a joint vision. Hangman (aka: Victor Paul), Ghost330 (aka: Catt) and The Stranger (aka: Jason). Each member has the strength in different areas. Jason is the front man with his turntable wizardry and lightning fast guitar playing. Catt is more of the cleric of the group. She is the final judge of what music is released and what path the act should take. She is also a spiritual adviser and my wife of over 7 years. I fall into the puzzle being the musical programmer and visual artist.

45 Thieves is located in Bangkok, Thailand. Is this the place where you only produce or also live and play music spreading the Jungle word?

Jason and I grew up in a small town in the northern part of Ohio, USA near the Canadian great lakes. I met my wife while attending collage. We moved back home to Bangkok to raise our children. We have two children Grace 7 and Alyssa 1. We have two studios one in the states and one in Southeast Bangkok.

How could you describe the sound that you produce and stand for?

That is two very deep questions rolled into one. I like to keep our sound rough and on the edge without going over. I often place my political and religious views into the tracks. I also like to keep the dance floor filled so we walk a strange path. Jungle has always been the music of enlightenment and Change for me. To me it is not just a sound or style. It is a mantra of change.

What tendencies you see in jungle scene and what your plans for the future, some upcoming tunes and releases?

I stopped watching the Drum and Bass world years ago. It was becoming too hi-so for me. We have a couple of monster tunes coming out next year. A new track with Jigsy King called "The Warning" and a wicked tune from Zulu called "Firestarter". Both are very dark tunes. The political unrest of Thailand has fuelled a darker sound from the 45 Thieves.

All the releases I know (maybe I'm wrong) all of them is cut on 12 inch, no CD or Digital format (I mean only digital), so you are vinylists, and now everyone talks about the big revolution FS CD players many new possibilities and the death of vinyl, what is your point of view? And one more question do you cut unreleased tunes, dubs on 12 inch too?

I hate CDs. It's that simple. We are heavily into Turntablism and Scratching so we always press the tunes to wax and include Turntablist sound on every record. I own a Dub plate cutter and Serato by Rane. We have been also using Ableton Live for performing sets. We like to change it up.

Can tell us about Conquest Music organization?

Conquest is our label based and started here in Bangkok, Thailand. We produce with many different artist and labels from all over the world. Conquest newest member is the artist also known as "Kontest" from France. He is amazing. He keeps the old school sound with the new school technique and flavour. We also plain to launch our Conquest clothing line next year so 2008 is going to be a big year for us.

What track of yours you like the most?

"Day-O" is my favourite, simply because I got to put an audio sample of "George W. Bush" as a terrorist into the track. I get a kick every time it plays. It's my way of say what I feel to the world. My second is an unreleased Dubplate called "Pagans". "Pagans" is a song based on traditional Ethiopian music and focus on the teachings of Haile Selassie I. The chorus of the song goes as fallows "Never go where Pagans go, never do as Pagans do". I take these teaching to heart.

One of your favourite tracks for me is "Look inside my eyes" and this choon is made with Remington Steele, so the vocals was written special for this tune, or it was taken from some other track?

"Look Inside My Eyes" was actually a Mash Up. We were given the song to remix from Remington Steele. We chopped it up and gave it a more Dub delay feel that focuses on the piano part. It was our last release of 2007 on Conquest. The whole idea for the track was born from Myspace. We met online and started trading ideas. The internet has changed our musical world.

You are playing like DJ and I Think you have visited many cities, also saw many ravers, so what city or what place you could name the capital of Junglists?

New York City without a doubt. The kids up there are mad, they knew all of our tunes even the unreleased tracks. Fists-in-the-air my type of people.

And finally what you could tell to all Lithuanian massive in few words?

I have been honoured by your time and interest in 45 Thieves. Fight with all your might until Jah take you home. Respect and Blessings.
